Tyson, Neil deGrasse. (2017). Astrophysics for people in a hurry. New York, NY: W. W. Norton & Company. Chapters 7 and 9 are my favorite! All about the elements and light. There's some great science humor within the pages.

Sebold, Alice. (2002). The lovely bones: A novel. Boston: Little, Brown. The beginning was intense and a little hard to read. A page turner for sure and ended up being a great summer read!

Dweck, Carol. (2006). Mindset: The new psychology of success. New York, NY: Random House. Required reading for school that I have recommended to others! How often does that happen? This book can literally change your mind.

Bloomberg, Paul and Pitchford, Barb. (2017). Leading impact teams: Building a culture of efficacy. Thousand Oaks, CA: Corwin. Reading for work - John Hattie, author of Visible Learning, wrote the forward. I was super excited to read it, as his name has come up in my grad school course work. It's awesome when work life and school life mesh and are authentic. I've made it through the first 3 chapters and will return with an update.
